A Transport Layer Approach to Host Mobility

چکیده
EXTENDED ABSTRACT Mobility, from the perspective of a network, is the ability to change network points of attachment. Support for mobility can be provided at the link layer (e.g. cell phones, 802.11) or at the network layer (e.g. Mobile IP). Link layer solutions are limited to point-to-point connectivity choices between the mobile and a base station. Network layer solutions are limited to information about the points of attachment of the host to the network. In this research, we present a transport layer approach to host mobility. Such a solution allows mobility decision to be based on end-to-end channel characteristics, as well as local connectivity information. Transport layer mobility support is link layer independent in that it can support heterogeneous technologies, but link layer-aware in that it tracks the presence of available link layer connections and determines which, if any, should be used to support the communications of the mobile host.

Abstract: Perovskite solar cells have become an attractive subject in the solar energydevice area. During ten years of development, the energy conversion efficiency has beenimproved from 2.2% to more than 22%, and it still has a very good potential for furtherenhancement. In this paper, a numerical model of the perovskite solar cell with thestructure of glass/ FTO/ TiO2/...
متن کاملPlanar perovskite solar cells using fullerene C70 as electron selective transport layer
Owing amongst other to its high electron mobility, fullerene C70, has been widely used as an electron transporting layer in organic solar cells. In this research, we report the use of C70 thin films as electron transport layers of planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs) using a conventional device structure. The thickness of the C70 layer has been optimized to achieve the best efficiency of 12%. I...
متن کاملField Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration
In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...
متن کاملApplication mobility with Host Identity Protocol – Extended Abstract
In this paper, we consider process migration from a communications point of view. We use the term application mobility while referring to an application being moved from a host to another during its execution. In this paper these hosts are called source and destination hosts, respectively. Moreover, we define a host to be virtual, and thus, not to equal to a physical host as such. Therefore, mu...
متن کاملHandoff and System Support for Indirect TCP/IP
Over the past few years, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) has become the most widely used transport layer protocol on the Internet. TCP performs poorly however, if one of the communicating hosts is a mobile wireless computer [6]. One way to address this performance problem is to modify TCP to make it aware of host mobility. Such an approach is infeasible because of the sheer number of hosts ...
